The love on set was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. From the happy tears between takes to the emotional performances the actors delivered, there was an unmistakable sense of safety. We were fortunate to raise the funds through the generosity of mentors and a thirty-day crowdfunding campaign. Toward the end, I couldn’t believe how much they trusted me, especially considering my age.

Despite every reason they could have doubted, they didn’t. They believed not just in me, but in the story, a story about fighting to be heard. Betsy is for people who struggle with telling the truth. It's a reminder that when a decision may seem like it could be the end of your life, it could very well be the beginning.

This team displayed a beautiful strength and a radical kind of love.
